Red Cedar Juniper

The red cedar juniper starts out compact but becomes loose and cylindrical when it matures.  The bark is red and stringy with smooth branches and is fragrant.  The fruit is a blue berry the size of a pea.  It is a native, tought, durable and drought resistant.  It is a magnet for birds and wildlife.  Tolerates road salt.  The growth rate is fast.
