Blue Zinger Sedge
Carex flacca ‘Blue Zinger’
This Emerald Coast introduction is indeed an improvement over the species with a larger, more upright clump habit and bluer foliage. Blue Zinger Sedge is a versatile ground cover for shade, tolerating a range of soil conditions once established. Evergreen in milder climates, it works well planted in mass along the edges of a border with its fine texture. Best cut back in the spring.
