August Light Astilbe

One of the latest reds to flower with long, scarlet-red plumes that appear in mid to late summer. When the new leaves emerge, they have a nice red tint to them, later changing to medium green. Astilbe benefit from evenly moist soils in light shade or filtered sunlight, and are delightful when paired with ferns, hostas, tiarella and heuchera.
